Meet Mrs.McCuen |
Hello! My name is Mary Ann McCuen! I am thrilled to be teaching your child in grade three this year! I have been a teacher within the Ottawa Catholic School Board since 1999. For the past fifteen years I have been a teacher at Guardian Angels Catholic School in Stittsville. Throughout my many wonderful years at Guardian Angels I have taught grades five, six, one and most recently grade three. I am thrilled about my move to St. Cecilia and look forward to learning alongside your child each and every day!
I live in the village of Stittsville with my husband. I love spending time with my family- my husband, our Boston Terrier puppy Clyde, my father, mother in law, father in law, brothers, sister in laws, nieces, nephews and of course Trixi- my dad's Boston Terrier! I have a background in dance and have been blessed to have had the opportunity to dance competitively in jazz, tap and ballet, as well as to teach these genres of dance at the competitive level to children and teenagers of all ages. I enjoy reading, singing and playing the guitar, as well as taking part in group exercise classes at the gym during my free time. One of my favourite quotes comes from Mother Teresa. It is "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." As a dedicated Catholic educator,I am committed to spreading God's love and ensuring that all of the students within my care leave each and every day feeling happy and confident in themselves as learners. I truly believe that when students believe in themselves, know that they their voices are heard and are confident in their abilities, there is no limit to the goals and dreams that they will achieve! Let the journey of wondering, exploring, discovering and growing in Grade Three begin! May God bless us during our learning conversations, our work and our play. "Restore one another in a spirit of gentleness" Galatians 1:6-9 |
